Thoracic Surgery

The Department of Thoracic Surgery at the Chest Hospital is dedicated to General Thoracic surgery. Our team of thoracic surgeons has a wide experience with the entire range of thoracic surgical procedures including Mediastinal procedures & video assisted thoracoscopic procedures including Decortication, Bullectomy closure of Bronchopleural Fistula etc. Thoracotomy and lobectomy, Lung biopsy, pericardial surgery are commonly performed.

Minimally invasive surgeries are done for lung cancer in cases with poor performance status. Median sternotomy and excision of tumors of the Thymus and retrosternal Goiters are done.

Surgical treatment is done for

• Lung cancer
• Collection of pus or fluid in the chest.
• Bullectomy
• Broncho pleural fistula.
